The Astrological Reading

Importance of Birth Time

Before seeking out a reading, be sure that you know the date, place, and exact time of your birth. A birth time error of only four minutes can make a substantial difference, especially in forecasting. If your parents don't remember your time of birth, check with your state's bureau of vital statistics (usually in the state capital) and request a hospital birth record search. You will be asked to provide them with your name, birthdate, birthplace and parents' names. The fee for such a search is usually between $5 to $10 and takes about two weeks.

Unknown Birth Time

If your time of birth is completely unknown, you have two options. You could settle for what is called a solar chart reading. Here, the astrologer calculates a chart for sunrise on the day you were born and attempts to read it as if it were your birth chart In many cases, the results of this approach are reasonably accurate and helpful. Your other option is to have an astrologer determine your time of birth through a process called rectification. Using a list of dates of major events in your life, the astrologer will attempt to adjust the chart to fit the events. Rectification is extremely complex, time-consuming and costly. Expect to pay far more for this service than for a reading.
